1. This position will report directly to the US based Orbis Director of Operations.
2. Significant interactions with US based Orbis Container Management personnel, EU based OEM suppliers and EU based logistics provider as required to meet shipments.
3. lnteracts with EU and US based corporate personnel as necessary.
4. lnteracts with Vendor Company personnel and Director of Material Logistics Corporate.
1. CUSTOMER RELATIONS
a. Interface with the proper customer/supplier levels, providing feedback and established channels of communications.
b. Establish credibility and mairitain professional relationship with customer and their associated suppliers.
c. Develop programs over and above customers’ requirements to provide differentiation from our competitors.
d. Monitor, ensure the quality of and submit container inventory reports on a timely basis.
a. Ensure the accuracy of receipt of data client plant order release systems into Smart Trak.
b. Communicate with US based Network Inventory Manager to determine the most cost efficient US service center location to meet EU supplier demand.
c. Analyze EU supply chain network and determine inventory imbalances
d. Create returnable packaging fulfillment orders for EU suppliers and communicate to local EU/US Iogistics provider. Update Smart Track Application for shipments. Manage communications with EU suppliers to maintain adequate supply of containers.
e. Audit inbound supplier shipments into the cross-dock from EIJ suppliers for correct packaging type and quantity per pack accuracy.
f. Identify and track packaging irïto and out of repack area.
g. Audit EU/US Iogistics provider’s repacked parts shipments for correct packaging type and quantity per pack accuracy.
h. Communicate with other owner service locations and the local customer plant to resolve returnable packaging issues as needed.
i. Analyze and communicate packaging needs for new implementations.
j. Monitor customer specified inventory levels at each supply location, manage discrepancies through appropriate service center.
k. Ensure quality of container management program to include inventory accuracy,elimination of supplier stock-outs, proper identification of scrap, wash and damage, and maintenance of the customer bar code tracking system.
l. Strive for maximum operating efficiencies in all areas
m. Develop, monitor and operate efficiency indicator systems (e.g., inventory and movement reporting)
n. Develop innovative ways to provide the local EU/IJS logistics provider with the most effective way to manage operations.
o. May assist the logistics provider as needed in the physical unloading and storage of containers.
3. MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT
a. Provide customer suppliers with proper training and tools to ensure efficiency and inventory accuracy.
b. Train and develop local EU/US logistics provider in efficient operational procedures and methodologies.
c. Identify and recommend training programs for customer suppliers and EUIUS logistics providers as needed.
4. STRATEGIC GROWTH and PLANNING
a. Assist in the implementation of new projects.
b. Assist in the maintenance and continued development of Smartrak
5. Other duties as assigned.
